Welcome to your cardiac cycle lab

Begin with a normal cycle. Pause at valve closure and compare the pressure gradient, volume and heart sound. Open Layers & cuts to expose the chambers, or Electrophysiology to follow activation and repolarization. Use Exercise to see how diastasis disappears at high heart rates.

Keyboard: Space play/pause · ← / → phase step · 1–8 jump to a phase. All sliders also support arrow keys. Reduced-motion preferences start the simulation paused.

Preview release: an original schematic 3D anatomy and idealized waveforms, with documented timing corrections. Not a diagnostic or clinical decision tool. Published-figure digitization, exact textbook page verification, and two-physiologist sign-off remain release requirements.

How to read the realistic heart: this Z-Anatomy atlas mesh moves on the lab's shared clock.

How to read the 3D view: wall contraction in this schematic heart scales with the model's ejection fraction, never beyond the normal amplitude; in bundle branch block the blocked ventricle contracts later by the branch delay; valve leaflets swing with the modelled valve state. It is an illustration, not measured wall motion; read exact volumes, pressures and ejection fraction from the curves and numbers.
